Because you get to do it against other Anons at 0 risk with large amounts of capital. If you are already "doing it for real" it would hardly consume time either, you could just mirror your real life trades.

believe it or not most of biz has the resources to actually trade cryptos (superior trading environment desu) and stocks through robinhood app and online exchanges for real
paper trading is for children and high school students, that's when i last did it for the ASX schools competition
