Why does ethereum need bitcoin as a "store of value" when it has ether? #TheFlippening isn't a maximalist thing it's a pragmatic thing.

I fucking hope so.

I'm sick of seeing shit like "Bitcoin IRA" and all these sites that rest entirely on Bitcoin and tell people to invest in it. The whole system is built on Bitcoin and idiots who are in love with its dinosaur technology, as well as boomers who have been sold into it as an amazing investment with no real understanding of it, think it's so goddamn strong. They think it'll never fail and are willing to put their whole life savings into it.

I want nothing more than to see it all burn and ETH take over. I want the Bitcoin companies to go bankrupt and these delusional fucks to get angry and worried.

I think Bitcoin crashing and burning wouldn't do much good for the confidence of Ether in the long run. I think it would be best for the future of crypto if they both continue to grow, but Ether slightly outpaces Bitcoin. I think there's enough money on the sidelines still to make that happen.

God it's going to be so enjoyable watching faggots like you kill yourselves when your worthless autism tokens get shit on, hard.

Fuck ETH and all the faggots that believe it will actually ever surpass BTC
>>
Where's the faggot that capped my instructions prior to this pump, I can offer you a job on the moon editing photos of girls sucking my dick.

Everyone else remember this is the boys in beijing and shanghai off their whale meetings, the NY conference was fucking garbage, I'd exercise a little caution jumping in until we see where it wants to settle

>facebook will never be bigger than myspace
>>

I heard folks saying that when it was $48 - let me wait till it goes back to $45. Except it went passed $50 and now $54 is the floor. I bought more at $49 and $50 anticipating a rise and already up 10% thankfully because I didn't wait on a larger then 50 cent dip.

T. Buttcoiner

Have fun with your slow negro coin, not to mention the stupidly expensive transfer fees and its future being dictated entirely by gook miners and whales

Yeah problem here is a lot of these niggers lose their shit when they buy on a pump like this see it retract a little. Plenty of money has been made quickly so some cash out dumps would be no surprise along here, i'll direct you to late march / early april to see where this has happened for eth more recently

It will not get there. There are forces at work beyond its control.
>>
>>1998259
which forces? the core devs and miners are so fucking ass blasted right now they haven't even noticed that ETH has launched this morning. they are going to destroy bitcoin, there's no turning back now.
>>
They can be symbiotic my friend, just hold btc and eth.
>>
>>1997544
ethereum premined 60 million coins
12 million coins were given to the developers
it will never pass bitcoin

>Why does ethereum need bitcoin as a "store of value" when it has ether?
Because memETH is based on Turing Completeness which is an horrible store of value. Not to mention Proof of Vitalik risk at any moment due new DAOs.

You can still sell your profit for king BTC.
>>
>>1997581
If bitcoin actually fails you'll see that the confidence in the crypto market will be gone forever.
The end of BTC's infallibility will bring the end of anyone's trust in the crypto market.
If BTC can simply disappear in a short time because ETH is "better" then so can ethereum as soon as some more advanced coin comes out.
Cryptocurrencies are, in fact, currencies, and people want to be able to put their money in them "safely" eventually.
They are not stocks, they're ways to store value and spend it. If they can never reach long term stability and any new coin can overtake the old ones making them crash, then ultimately crypto will have no practical purpose for 99% of people.

That said, this will probably never happen.

>dinosaur technology
Who cares? Why would a coin's success simply be a function of its "technology" which may as well be useless for 99% of purposes/people.
You're no better than the XMR fags who think XMR will replace BTC because it's "better". XMR isn't going anywhere but it won't replace BTC because
1. Not everyone cares about secrecy in payments
2. You can always easily convert in XMR, send, then convert back.
The same goes for ethereum. Save for the current issues with BTC transactions, which will be solved, there is no reason for people to use ETH as a store of value. Much like XMR it can be a tool and an investment, but there's no reason why it'd replace BTC in the long term.

BTC is being used as "digital gold" because compared to other cryptocurrencies it is a safer investment, it is accepted anywhere (anywhere crypto is accepted), it can be exchanged for other crypto easily if needed and it is the most "established" coin. All of these things are great to have and no technology improvement in other coins is going to replace it.
They don't matter. People like how simple BTC is. It just does what it should and that's it. The other coins will be useful for whatever features they have, and will keep being used for that.

>delusional buttcoiner still thinks ethereum is merely a currency

negro pls, ethereum is going to replace everything you can do online, you will be holding your legacy buttcoins on an eth based exchange whilst searching for bulls to impregnate your wife on an eth based browser, paying him him through an eth based transaction system
