I am about to quit my big4 Audit job without having another job lined up. I have no motivation to advance or do better in this career bcos I'm not even an accounting major. I regret accepting this offer a year ago and have thought about quitting numerous times. Am I making a huge mistake?

Ride it until the wheels fall off and then quit before you get fired
Get a job lined up first. It's dumb, but it's easier to get a job when you have one.

Entry level salary in my city is ridiculously low except investment banking. I make like 20k USD/year (incl. overtime pay). I'm an econ major.

Wtf I thought big4 paid more than that.

20k at a big4? I don't believe you.

Keep your job until you find a new one. It should be quick if you were a consultant.
If you really are at a big4, you shouldn't have any trouble getting a headhunter to notice you and get you into interviews

Wow. That's just marginally better than pay in Bangkok.
Don't quit. In HK you work or you die.
