What is a /biz/ approves minor to accompany an accounting major?

CS, Finance, Econ, Business Administration if you want to start your own firm, even a relevant foreign language like Spanish would be cool
Employers couldn't give two shits about your minor, but knowing the basics to coding or macroeconomics will certainly help you out in the long run

Something like finance or business administration would perfect an accounting degree, and make you able to fill related job.
Computer Science would make you timeless, and you'd be able to embrace automation instead of fear it.
But I'm going to throw a curve-ball and suggest either English or Political Science. The biggest weakness of accountants is social skills and writing, so by getting a minor that shows your ability to communicate well, you'll be on a good footing for high end jobs in the field. If you hate the liberal arts then feel free to choose another options, but you should seriously consider the ability good communications skills give you.

It gives a good mix of communications skills, government work qualifications, and managerial roles. I might be a bit biased to Political Science, but it's pretty useful when used to amplify another skill, rather than on its own.
And an interesting fact I read is that Mitt Romney studied English before earning a J.D./MBA, so I guess universities also see the value of good communications skills in business.
