Not sure if this is the right board for this question but is Online roulette on a betting site (like Bovada) realistic odds like a real roulette table? Or does it just fuck you..

I don't know but I saw a few movies and read a few articles to not trust the odds of any online casino.
If you're looking for fair games to play with strategies like Martingale or something then your best bet is a Bitcoin dice game where you can set your winning chances and you can be sure of their fairness with the blockchain technology. Like this one: https://primedice.com/?c=AdamB4dz
I tried the Martingale strategy once there, since they have automatic betting, it's fun and you might win some. I didn't but I'm always too greedy, lol.
>Does it fuck you over just like real casinos?
Yep.

Roulette has horrible odds. They don't need to cheat on top of this to fuck you over.

If you can find a site that puts you playing with other players, you can capitalize on the house being rigged and if you play in their favour, you will win.

In the last 2 days I bet 1$ on red and lost and then 5$ subsequently on red and won 5$ both time and quit after that. Might just be luck

If you are betting on roulette then you have a gambling problem. Bet on sports games. The odds are always fair.

I used the Martingale system to go from 5BTC to 12BTC playing roulette on Cloudbet a few months ago. I tried it again a few weeks ago and went from 5BTC to 9BTC to 0BTC. No idea if the spins are fair or not, but I was able to cash out the 12BTC that I won. I shouldn't have gotten greedy the second time. And yes, I do know that I was lucky and that the long-term odds are against you with the Martingale system.

EDIT: I meant .5 BTC to 1.2BTC, etc. I was not gambling with 5BTC.

I do bet on games, If i ever have extra cash to spend I just go ahead and risk it. Played it twice and won twice, but probably won't again.

;) your bookie loves you.

You got lucky.
It is not possible to show a profit on a -EV game over the longrun.
>>1954199
Doesn't longrun imply infinite plays?
You can be profitable in 100k spins if you beat the odds with luck
>>1954206
The longer you play the less likely you are to be ahead. You cannot beat roulette regardless of what """strategies""" you employ.
You *could* be ahead after 100k plays but you'd have a more likely chance of winning the lottery.

This is the digital age son.
Someone is going to take a cut off the winnings but thats not changing the fairness of the odds.
If its 7:1 then you bet on whichever you think will win.
Its like poker except poker can blow you put purely on luck.

So can sports. A star player getting injured can happen as easily as your pocket aces being taken down.
