How do you motivate yourself to work/keep working when it's one of those days when you just don't have any?
Finished quite some things the last week, have to do a few more things that I can only start in a few days, but still have neough shit to do that would warrant me getting to work on them now, but I just can't.
I'm totally procrastinating. Reading news, cleaning the office kitchen, moving around my plants so that they get the optimal amount of light… fucking asking for advice on 4chan…
will going for a walk and working from the park help me?
I know I'll start getting shit done as soon as a deadline approaches, but until that point, work is going to be suffering.
Just start working for 5 minutes. Then you're done for the day. If you work longer you do, otherwise you don't. Don't be pussy and make decisions.

This. Normally it takes me ~20 minutes to focus on something. It can sometimes change my mood and I can get stuff done on a day that starts really shitty.
So I would maybe take a 1hr nap, and then start working on something. If after half an hour you can't get anything done, just go on a walk or exercise or something.
Don't be an idiot and watch Netflix all day because you're sad.

You shouldn't have to, motivation means you're making a conscious choice to be productive. You should hack your own mannerisms, or Pavlovian-style train yourself to be compulsivley be productive.

I'm not sad. It's just one of those meh… days.
Just walking out the office and going home or biking wouldn't hurt me at all, but I just feel like this is wrong.
And I get minor 5 minute things done anyways, but I just can't get myself to be
>fuck this shit!
>today I am going to get shit done!
And then I feel guilty and stay at work till 8 in the evening, trying to make up for the wasted time. Which I probably wont.
