Do you loan BTC on poloniex /biz/?
>>1932452
Yes
It's a good way to lose money
>>1932452
Maybe
was thinking of putting about 50 btc for loan on there and buy bullion with the interest made but im not really good at anything and dont want to lose my money.
>>1932480
how?
>>1932486
its about 0.05-0.1% compounded daily, you'd get minimum 0.1btc/day, $10 a day not bad anon
I locked in a 1%, yes 1%, daily loaning fee on BTC for a few days somehow. That was great because even when BTC went down I was making loads of money.
You're not as good as me though so you can fuck right off and give me your money.

i dont understand, how'd you loan at 1% when people are borrowing at 0.1%
>>1932629
I set my rate at 1% and someone took it. The default for Polo is 2% anyway.
The trick is to do it in times of high volatility, especially when BTC is dropping. When BTC is dropping like a rock, you can get 1% rates locked in for 20-60 days or whatever and then repeat later.

does it get locked in for good? what if someone cancels their loan?
>>1932480
what? there's no risk. Polo will liquid someone's positions before your BTC is at risk.
It's just not particularly profitable due to low interest rates.

They can pay back the loan anytime. This strategy does not work
