I've only seen people say that they own golem because they think other people will want it later. I havent seen anyone say that they would want to use it for themselves later.

It's a same there are so many shitcoins being shilled here, while legit coins get lost in the noise

Golem Network would be very hard to pull off. If it succeeds there is a lot of money to be made.

It's a mythological monstrous beast of clay, made by and under the control of a rabbi, created to protect a Jewish community.

So it is basically like any other coin but the processing power that is used to mine it is put to an actual purpose. Sounds pretty good actually.

Elastic (XEL) started developing a decentralized supercomputer first. Its in the final stages of testing before main net launch. It will be working upon release, unlike Golem.
