How though? There is no catalyst for adoption. Any merchant that uses Bitcoin for transactions immediately cashes out to USD, so it's just a gimmick to get people to shop there.

You think JP Morgan or Intel is gonna pay you top dollar for your ETH? They'll just create their own and sell (C)ETH to their customers.

There is no government demanding taxes be paid in exclusively in a crypto currency, by threat of force (why do you think we all want dollars?).

They're fine for pump and dump turn arounds, but the coins you're invested in will never have a large scale adoption. If a currency was ever going to be large scale adopted it would be remade to guarantee the country with the cheapest electricity (China) didn't wield all the influence.

He really doesn't as he seems to think that all crypto runs off of proof of work. Many coins run off proof of stake instead and ethereum will within a few months.
