Where's all the ethereum threads? Is it because ethereum reached a resistance point? Since it will just go up right after the etf...
>>1891564
i say 103 dolla next day
>>1891558
It's assumed that anyone who is smart enough to operate a computer has already bought ethereum
Not much happening with ethereum desu, it's been rather stable, by cryptocurrency standards
just wait a week and we'll see the usual eth beggers and moon memes when eth hits 100$
throw some in monero too.
It's somewhat of a btc alternative, and it shifts inversely.
Druglords back it up.
any projected dips before moon?
>>1891700
Always is right before the etf like last time it went to 16
>>1891700
this is what I was also wondering. I am going to get some more ETH but I was wondering, if and probably when that shit gets denied on the 30th, will ETH dip or will ETH moon? Just looking for the best time to add the maximum amount of ETH
>>1891710
It'll dip at first, but skyrocket afterwards
but who knows, the etf might get approved and bitcoin becomes supreme emperor of all shitcoins
just buy now desu, it's not like it'll dip down to 25$, maybe a few dollar dip at worst/best
>>1891710
eth went down for about one minute when bitcoin crashed, but then they decoupled and eth went from 17 to 19 the friday is was declined
then the next friday it was at 55
no reason to expect lower eth than now
People are currently pumping the shit out of it in a few exchanges as I type this.
>>1891756
That said, first eth thread I've seen for a few days with moon talk. Direct correlation to spike that is still going up?
>>1891767
I think the shills for some alt coin pumps killed the threads
The thing that makes ETH so great right now is that it can and will benefit from any ETF outcome. To what degree for which is debatable of course.
>ETF Fail
Most likely. Like 95% likely. Further erodes the already crumbling confidence in Bitcoin's future. Bitcoin holders start seeking out the next horse to hitch their wagon to. That is ETH by a very very wide margin. Wealth transfer from BTC to ETH and ETH benefits.
>ETF Approved
Extremely unlikely. However, since BTC is the flagship crypto and in this case it's rechristened as the standard-bearer. A rising tide lifts all boats and the ETF will bring an immense amount of new interest to the crypto game. Normies will seek out the historic gains of early Bitcoiner's and start flooding into the next crypto on deck...ETH.
tl;dr ETH is in the unique position to benefit from Bitcoin's success OR failure.
A successful ETF and renewed future for Bitcoin is the best outcome. We don't want to see our BTC bros lose, despite their ETH vitriol.
>>1891779
this tbqh
ethereum is strong atm, it'll benefit no matter the outcome
but an approval would be neat, i would make altcoins more valuable aswell
Op here, never mind. Ethereum just needed to go up $2 to get every one yelling.
>>1891779
Basically ETH is going to the moon whatever bitcoin does. Fuck bitcoin basically. Fucking obsolete mess
>>1892094
This.
Whether ETH is going to the moon tomorrow or in a couple years, it's going there. The technology is superior to BTC and is being backed by major companies. Uncertainty about BTC's future is causing people to jump ship and the only viable alternative is ETH.
First time buyer here.
Bought some Ether from coinbase two days ago, sent it to my Ethereum wallet. It's still not in there though, even though every record I can find says that it has been sent.
What's going on? Is there something I've missed?
>>1892174
Coinbase holds your shit for like 10 days
>>1892174
May need to download the whole blockchain still. What wallet are you using?
>>1892094
BTC has simply run out of steam. It was the first stage lift vehicle for the crypto rocket. It burned and blazed and launched crypto into the stratosphere. It's run out of fuel now and just coasting uphill, but losing speed rapidly.
It's time for 2nd stage ignition, and that is ETH.
>>1892194
Mist
>>1892180
What? Why?
>>1892174
>coinbase
>>1892247
No idea. Kraken is instant but needs either your Driver's license or your SSN and they keep it forever because I asked them kek.
>>1892247
Check the top and see if blocks are downloading on your mist wallet. If the blue bar is still downloading you need to leave your wallet open..sometimes for a while.
If purchase is complete coinbase should not hold it. Only if you purchase is still waiting to clear with them or you bank. If it cleared your bank or CC you should be fine - confirm on etherscan.io
>>1892174
You need to wait for your wallet to sync
>>1892265
not him but what do you use other than coinbase? other websites require shit like IDs and fucking social security numbers. could you tell me of any that don't require a blood sample that i can buy bitcoin and ETH from? currently sitting on 55 eth in coinbase
>>1892300
Use localbitcoin to buy BTC then trade on kraken or bittrex for ETH
Alternatively research BTC atm's in your local area and buy btc from there then exchange for ETH or whatever else you want to trade
>>1892282
>>1892272
I can see a bar, but it's been at 1% and holding even though my internet has no problem
>>1892337
just looked into local bitcoin ATMs. all require a photo ID and phone number, and some require a fingerprint. i thought the whole point of bitcoin was to be anonymous?
>>1892339
When I first used Mist wallet, mine was also stuck until I turned it off and restarted with admin privileges.
Right click > run as admin.
>>1892339
If you closed and then re-opened it it may have gone into the normal sync mode. Usually when it first starts up it will do a fast sync which goes by in ~1-2hours. You can delete the chaindata (NOT your keys) and then restart to see if it goes faster.
If you just want to see that it went through, put your wallet address into etherscan.io
>>1892180
>Buy etherum during the moon ride
>Get stuck in the shitty ass motherfucking wait
>By the time I sell I've made literally nothing when at one point I was making thousands
>>1891779
Why would a btc etf ever pass when drugs are being boughtsold on it clear as day. At least with u.s. Currency it's against the law with btc it's like necessary lol. So I'd think an eth etf would be more likely considering all the (((backing)))
>>1891779
>>ETF Fail
>Most likely. Like 95% likely.
it's actually 100% likely chummer. there is no functional way an BTC ETF will be approved as the market is not liquid enough for coherent trading.
>>1891558
Because the good goy NEETS from /biz/ used up the last of their their welfare money buying half an ETH each.
>>1892094
whatever happens to ETH (i think it will be very successful) BTC is almost guaranteed to crater within a year, it has functionally ceased as both a community and a scalable entity and right now all the drama is just vultures fighting over a corpse
>>1894313
And why not lol? I've been throwing 50 in biweekly since last year.
BUY THE DIP NOW!
>>1894502
Buy Dopecoin
Can someone explain why ETH is being inflated? Is there no max supply like the 21 mil BTC?
>>1894606
correct, in addition ETH can be the background software for a host of applications, unlike BTC
€€€$$$ ++new ATH expected this day*+++ $$$€€€

eth is a mess
Because Magi Coin (XMG) is about to make people rich.
It's being pumped by whale anons up to 10k tonight. If you want to make it big, THIS is your chance.

Never use a Trump meme against Ethereum ever again. Just a friendly tip..
>>1891658
