I could've secured my retirement /biz. I normally don't give a shit if I miss trains because they're mostly impossible to catch anyway, but in PIVXs case I totally fucked up. I researched it when I came across it here on /biz right before the giant pump started, but I decided in the end not to bother because I couldn't get the Dash scam association out of my head. In hindsight I can't forgive myself because I should've foreseen that PIVX was going to succeed and that the stars would align for PIVX. It's a legit alternative to Dash without all the scammy baggage in a time where confidence in BTC is severy shaken. I'm severely depressed now. Please join me in my mourning.

P.S. It's also the fault of /biz for screwing up the pitch. I instantly assumed PIVX was a scam like 99% of the altcoins that are pumped here which is why I let my guard down.

bought PIVX at $0.2, had a chance to sell at $0.4 but decided to hold a little more. When it was crushing, as I thought, I panicked and sold at $0.3, mainly because of this >>1891520
Then I bought ARK at $0.04 and sold at $0.045 because I panicked again

I know of a coin, but I won't let /biz/ ruin it. It's been acquiring modest gains so I know /biz/ hasn't caught on yet. Maybe you'll see it while it's slowly climbing up the marketcap. It's still at a cheap price and the amount of coins in circulation is perfect.

This is one of the earliest infographs on PIVX. I want you to do a comparison of the distribution.

The people on slack are saying it's because the devs are anonymous. I call instant bullshit because, bitcoin's Satoshi Nakamoto identity has never been revealed. Ok I did some more research and I do see potential now.. I'm just curious what is the unique value proposition for SHIFT implementing IPFS compared to just using stand alone IPFS?
>>
>>1891741
how much you think it could hit ?
My guess is something like $0.5 in a few days. I think it's still very underpriced
>>
>>1891774

I'm not sure anon. But when I read through the threads I can "feel" the excitement of the other people who comment on the thread. They are highly looking forward to the implementation of IPFS. So if they feel good, and positive, and are seeing development moving along, all of those are good signs for me to throw some btc in this project.

>>1891775
Right now anon, it's a .15 cents. Let's see though, I think .50 cents is a realistic goal that can possibly be reached in 2-4 weeks. That can of course change due to the /biz/effect. Meaning price can rapidly increase due to the shilling of it spreads. But right now there so many shilling going on that I only am telling the anons in this thread. I believe in this project and I don't want it to be categorized as a pump and dump. Of course I want a price increase, but I want it to occur naturally like it has been doing.

Believe me, those guys are quick to call bullshit on shitty projects. But I always do research because there are professional shills on bitcointalk.

>>
It was very apparent that there was a bot or some other automatic entity dumping a shit ton of small transactions around 1.5 pivx each all at once in the order log.

This got manipulated down so some whale could scoop more up. This is shady as shit, the only question is if it's worth holding in the hopes Polo picks it up or it lifts to $1 or if you should take your money and gtfo before it's dumped for real.

I guess if somebody bothered to jerk it down, it means they're expecting it to go back up again but christ.

the best time to buy is when liquidity is low and the coin is not yet widely known. Otherwise you're paying a liquidity premium which you probably don't need because you're investing small amounts anyway.
>>
>>1892307
But surely the same won't happen again, right? This is a correction and people taking profits, it'll be over a $1 within a week, likely less. You will never see a coin that just rises, rises, rises, there will always be corrections along the way before it resumes rising.
>>
>>1892318
But if liquidity is low and the coin is not widely known how am I supposed to know what to invest in?

yeah it wouldn't suprise me if PIVX becomes a top 5 coin, but again the risk/reward is not as attractive as it was one week ago
>>
>>1892319
will you shut the fuck up until my god damn transfer is complete, keep the fucking price cashing and whale up on these coins while idiots panic ya fucking faggot

you need to pay attention to the quality of the project, how sophisticated the community is etc.. potential use cases need to make sense. It needs to be differentiated from all the other hundred shit coins. It's like picking stocks basically. The best ones rise to the top

***OKAY GUYS***

So, I will reveal my stat here they are:

I listened you guys like back in 3 weeks when PIVX was at 0.14$ because I was so pissed of ETH missing the train and stuff...

So I bought in 1100 coins of PIVX 0.14$ and sold just now for like 0.63$. Total investment 175$ and I got out 630$ so profit was 450.

But im still pissed because yesterday my profit would have been 900 because it was at 0.94$.

So... I just sold... Im happy with the profits but still feeling pretty empty inside. I thought that maybe it will rise but it just kept going down and the PIVx sites were just so scammy and skeptic like no real guys just random dudes. Also this is kind of lottery for me... So...

Thanks to all you guys for advices it was still in the end nice ride...

What is the next BIG thing on coins to invest small amount?

.......is pivx dead please say yes.
>>
>>1892330
not when I'm trying to drop 15,000 in bitcoin to switch, evey cent is a couple thousand to me. They will figure it out eventually but don't constantly spoon feed the babies especially during a profitable crash. You ruin the whole point of being a whaling when you do that
>>
>>1892333
Great advice... thank you very much!
>>
>>1892341
/biz/ is a very small slice of the market, I want all anons to make money not lose money. There's still plenty of other idiots to profit off of.
>>
>>1892336
don't worry man. 300 dollars is nothing. This isn't the 1970s anymore
>>
>>1892343
People are pushing PivX because it's a fork of the no. 3 coin by market cap (Dash) and is theoretically better in features.
>>
>>1892341
I know it can be frustrating, hang in there friend, you will make mad gainz and grind that bitch hard!
>>
>>1892348
I'll throw one or two BTC at it, YOLO
>>
>>1892348
yes that's why I'm so pissed I missed the 10x. It was inevitable from a tiny 5mil market cap. Not only the only alternative to Dash, but less scammy as well
>>
>>1892345
Did I still OK. Was it good decision to leave from the moon ride? Or are you guys thinking it will rise now to like 5$, which was my wet dream lol...
>>
>>1892363
Tell me about it. I missed it by literally 24 hours. In at 75k satoshis lol
>>
>>1892368

it's possible but there's also more downside from a 50m market cap than from a 5m one.
>>
PIVx Is D E A D Meme
>>
>>1891554
Ha, is it BTA isn't it. ISNT IT.
>>
>>1892376
What is the difference between bigger 50M market cap and smaller 5M market cap?

How it will affect?
>>
>>1892368
I believe it will go to $3 by the end of the year easily, but quadrupling your money as you did is still good anon.
>>
XRP and ARK is new moon ticket senpai lit AF 420 fgt blze it
>>
>>1892319
this anon right here, I blame you. Fuck you, you cost me 0.10$ extra cents per pivx because of this spoon feeding post. Congrats you just gave extra money to a weak hand and cost a serious trader money. Good job faggot from 0.59 to 0.69 way to fuckin go
>>
>>1892395
Thanks man. I think I did pretty good though.
>>

from a 5m market cap you need only 5m dollars more of fresh capital to buy into the coin to double your investment. From a 50m market cap, 50m of new capital is needed to double your investment. The larger the market cap, the harder it becomes to grow. It's the law of large numbers. Of course it's up for debate when it really kicks in because a larger market cap brings higher liquidity which attracts investors with larger amounts to invest, and they are generally more sophisticated and picky about their investments.
>>
>>1892401
Sounds like you're the weakhand, m8.

You did fucking excellent - don't think about what you didn't do, think about what you did do.

Traditional investors fucking around with their outdated and over-regulated markets would literally kill someone for an increase like that.

Keep at it. Ride the wave man.

Now you can buy a dip and ride PIVX to $3-4/coin by the end of the year anyway.

why does /biz/ keep falling for memecoins and not serious projects like DCR ?

I literally made $50k with DCR, I'm not even meming, and I think the true potential growth hasn't even started yet

I wish I was this delusional.

Don't worry it is a scam. This pump was better executed then most. The fact that you have misread the situation even after the fact goes to show that you never deserved to make any money from PiVX. So don't worry about it.

If any of you degenerates took 5 minutes to run a few searches on PIVX instead of asking if this is a scam, you'd find that they have their project mgmt page out in the open and talk about how their whitepaper has to be presented "to be extremely official/important/valuable to ‘sell’ PIVX as a serious contender", how to take advantage and use their own team's membership of groups in crypto on social media to target - "SnappySnap is a member of some large FB crypto groups we should target." and have bogus members in on their team page - they say mrs x heralds from israel, when a quick reverse image search on her shows up a highly successful actor from israel with no mention of her being a software developer and capable of programming in c/c++ anywhere.
Doug Smith made X look tame, ala, Doug Reinhardt, ala, Paris Hiltons ex who is now a linux sysadmin and also is master of c/c++; yes goys, this is all so credible!
Asides from some kike and Paris Hiltons ex, a high number of the members who are real, all appear to be alleged masters of marketing - chad ballantyne, crypto s.i (carl anthony), elisha owusu etc.
With above outlined, some of their dev's seem partly respected (badenglishtea, jakiman), if we want to take bitcointalk forums cred as a means of proving legitimacy.
Lastly, run a twitter search for pivx with all the members handles of pivx excluded plus the steemit faggots and we're left with a load of no names who are either bots or real long time pump and dumpers.
Point is, if you want to ride the ponzi, go for it, but don't be a fucking nigger and ride this wave long term.

HODL THE PONZI

The bot makes new buy walls and forcefully dumps the price down until new supporters appear and eat the walls again.

This is unironically the most perfect scam i have ever seen and it worked 2 times so far.

At this point people even buy the stagnating bot wall because "it will never be that cheap again!".

Those guys are far beyond help

How could you fools be so deluded and buy even more?

This pump and dump is done for good.
You greedy fools deserved to lose your money.

I've been making decent change over the past few days with these swings and increasing my holdings. This will be back to $1 within a week and people are going to be on suicide watch. Even if I'm actually wrong and this goes to $0.00 I've still made profit.
>>
>>1896114
If you want to make a profit right now,it's obviously ETH which is going to tha MOON
>>
>>1896144
I'm holding 100 ETH.
>>
>>1896153
ETH is going to 200$ if BTC dies. PIVX already at 0.46$. Doesn't look to good for PIVX to say the least
>>
>>1896187
People were saying this at $.10, I feel I'm right but even if I'm wrong I'm still in profit so I don't care too much. ETH isn't going to $200 within a couple months, will take longer than that, though i won't mind if it does obviously. I'd be content with getting a decent car from ETH gains, I mean sure its not enough to set me for life but its still good.
>>
Buy pivx at 20k, it will bounce back up to 50k, don't be a greedy cunt though it wont go above that so get in and get out, there's still bagholder fools who'll buy up to 50k
