How do I go about starting to trade crypto currency? I am in school right now for finance but have been interested in this for a few months. It would be something that I would do on the side but I have a lot of free time to dedicate to it. Complete beginner here.

How do I know what to invest in?

Another option is to search for a btc ATM in your area
If any of these things are too complicated though just sign up to coinbase and use their service - it has limits though so pretty quickly you'll want to try some of the other methods mentioned
Don't buy dupecoin

Look through the announcements at bitcointalk. Buy coins that have better technology than other coins, yet cheap. Like BitBay.

Buy PIVX and ETH. Then hold and dump all spare cash into the two of them.
Coinbank is where you can buy eth, bittrex is where you can exchange eth for pivx.
When ETH hits 200$ profit take a little
When PIVX hits 5$ profit take a little
continue cycle until bad PR comes out of either of those coins but at the moment they are the only two solid cryptos on the market
