Why would this pump?

This is the first coin since Ethereum that I can remember /biz/ identifying so ridiculously early on with such obvious potential.

I'm impressed, guys. Kudos to whoever discovered this hidden gem.

The potential for a crypto eBay of sorts is actually extremely interesting to think about. The dev team looks solid and their image (let's be honest - this is so incredibly important) is flawless.

>>

It's so much more than a crypto eBay too. It enables you to buy cryptos with cash that are theft-proof thanks to their double escrow system. Literally anything you can buy / sell today for any currency (cryptos or fiat or bartering or anything) could be done through BitBay but theft-proof and fee-free.

Certainly not too late to get in on pivx, although you have missed out on some pretty sick wave-surfing. It's a decent sign that /biz/ is in on something interesting.

It's like watching /pol/ direct the US election all over again.

PIVx is so perfectly clandestine and mysterious. BitBay looks clean as fuck - I wouldn't be surprised if complete normies adopt this in a year or so. Watch for more pop culture references to 'crypto' because it's coming. Buckle up for one hell of a ride.

But, good job. Once in your miserable lives you're finally being good at the one thing you're suppose to be good at. Now try the same thing with other exchanges, especially equal buy/sell ones like Poloniex.

By the way some whale is screwing around with (BBR)XBB, so if you guys have any boolberry laying around maybe on Cryptopia then transfer it. No sadly Poloniex's transfer for BBR is disabled, fucking faggots.

Don't think it's better than ETH, but think about it this way :

Even if bitbay is half as good as ETH, you will see a lot of attention, and ultimately demand for bitbay, which automatically make its value higher over time.

This is no brainer investment if you do it a week ago, you WILL make money.

I don't think now is the time to push the price up. Economy is going to rebalance itself post-fork; that's when the true pump begins (for all coins, following the chaos).
>>
How high do you guys legit think this can go?
>>
>>1881766

Resistance at 500 sats, seems to be bottoming out at 450 sats, I'm confident that 500 will be destroyed come release of version 1.16 of BitBay.
>>
>>1881766
Buy wall - A huge purchase order in the order book

Sell wall - A huge sell order in the order book
>>
>>1881766
Basically, huge amounts of buy/sell orders. Used to control price by setting lower/upper bounds, respectively.

For instance, a sell wall at 480 makes it stupid for anyone to ever buy above that, and a buy wall at 330 means it's very stupid for someone to sell below that.

Think of it like a game with optimal moves. That's essentially what it is.

>>
>>1881823
sorry bud too busy getting rich, now fuck off
>>
>>1881820
Not sure, again I've got a weeks worth of skin in the game.

But it's obvious it'll affect every cryptocurrency... I was thinking about it earlier today. Consider this: We're all buying this shit at 500 sats. 500 sats is pretty expensive now, though, so even if our investment balloons 1000x in sats it'll be worth much shittier sats. This makes it more likely for people to hold onto this coin long-term.

Essentially, I think people are buying coins for BTC but won't be selling them for BTC. If they'll be selling for anything, it'll be Eth (or Dash, or Monero, or whatever).
>>
>>1881820
Alts will rise across the board, especially a coin with solid technical development like BitBay
>>1881822
The "Hard Fork" has to due with BTC possibly splitting into two coins. This would lead to a sell off of BTC, and a drastic rise in alt-coins.

Since BitBay has all the development ready that Ethereum had plans for, it isn't hard to see where this is going.

literally "bid last ask" on Google:

If you are selling a stock, you are going to get the bid price, if you are buying a stock you are going to get the ask price. The difference (or "spread") goes to the broker/specialist that handles the transaction. As others have stated, the current price is simply the last price at which the security traded.

Guys, this is not a meme right? Im currently waiting on the transfer to land into Bittrex
>>
I'm a complete noob, how do I invest? Downloading the qt wallet program now. And would $500 be even worth investing
>>
The target is a 15 million marketcap which is Bitbays current valuation since its massively undervalued right now which is a 2.5 times increase from what it is right now which is the marketcap of gamecredits, I see it pumping to that within the month then slow and steady growth to 37 million with loads of pullbacks which is the marketcap of iconomi which hasnt even done anything yet but was just marketed very well.

That is all presuming that the cryptocurrency space doesn't have tonnes of new money flowing in this year so if we factor that in the marketcap will reach 90 million which is the marketcap of that trash Augur.

Worst case 3x increase within the year, best case 15x.

You ready for the moon lads?

Quote from Lead Developer David Zimbeck regarding pegging.

"The peg will be variable. Hence it has been called a "rolling peg". We can freeze the supply to increase the price. Thus if we want to slowly build it to a dollar we can. However, we will not want to go for a dollar target if it involves freezing 99.9% of the coin necessarily. So the best strategy is to set targets (for example 10 cents) and then reassess the situation once we hit that target. When a good level is reached we can inflate/deflate freeze/thaw to maintain that price level."
>>
>>1881973

I don't think this will work because their entire idea of the bit style ebay seems to exist just to promote the sale of their meme coin. A bitcoin ebay could absolutely work if it accepted BTC as payment or eve better yet, accepted multiple varieties of cryptocurrency. The problem with BitBay is that it only accepts BAY as currency which isn't even sold on the majority of crypto exchanges right now. I might consider buying it if it becomes available on poloniex but right now I see no evidence that it isn't just another attempt at a pump and dump coin.
>>1881974
>"The peg will be variable. Hence it has been called a "rolling peg". We can freeze the supply to increase the price. Thus if we want to slowly build it to a dollar we can. It seems like the developers aren't focusing on making the best possible product for the community but rather they are focused on the value of their coin and seducing potential investors. The whole thing feels like a pump and dump
>>
>>1882054
NO bitterex is unsafe what if it gets hacked??
>>
>>1882052

why on earth are your entire savings in crypto in the first place?
>>
>>1882056
Who said it would only accept bitbay?
It could just accept bitcoin and measure all transaction in bitcoin or whatever but the mechanics of the site would convert it to bitbay to do the smart contract shit and then people would get their money converted back into bitcoin so bitbay would just be an intermediary like monero is for mixing coins right now and look at the market cap of that. Plus ethereum is trash and just look at it.

For the second point that's just developers wanting to get paid and get rich from their product, its been going on for 3 years now and there hasnt been any pump and dups and there wasnt a ICO or anything so I'm treating these guys more like a company issuing stocks.
>>
>>1882063
this guy hasn't done his research, don't bother with him
>>
>>1882056
An argument could be made that adoption and pumping up the value go hand in hand. That a dev who makes steps to pump the value of his coin so people actually come around to utilising it for it's purpose and it gets on exchanges is a smart one.
>>
>>1882069

>The whole thing feels like a pump and dump
So does bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, and gazillion other shitcoin.
>>
>>1882010
Basically you just buy BTC from wherever you want, send them to an exchange and trade them for something else, in this case BAY
>>
>>1882083
What do you mean by p/e ratios?
>>
>>1882063
But what is the purpose of BAY if BitBay itself accepts other coins? Why would the success of BitBay change the value of the supposedly related cryptocurrency? Why not just invest in BitBay company stock instead of the currency?
>>
looks like the dip is over, time to break through 0.00000600
>>
Someone upload bitbay video to Reddit to share meme magic
>>
>>1882101
CUZ BLOCKCHAIN MAAAAN

Its the platform itself, bitcoin can run smart contracts but it isnt optimized for it now is it, thats why there is ethereum and then ethereum offshoots with their own platforms based on ethereum. Its about optimization.

Its all a meme, everything can technically be made on bitcoin right now but it isn't optimized for it and would be difficult to do with transaction fees and slow rate, this could be solved with degwit and side chains but that is some years away and requires consensus and shit so coins make hardofrk and mae their own shit.

Your question is like asking why would a bitcoin exchange accept dollars?

If bitcoin is the most used currency then you can use that as money and then bitbay as internal currency that handles the exchange of bitcoin using its smart contract feature.

How is bitbay as good as ethereum? Bitbay has no exposure..Ethereum is already having gatherings of Ethereum based startups..

>>

Thats the point: Exposure.
In the crypto space that is the best thing to lack this is this monero to ethereums dash essentially. They have an actual product that could work whilst ethereum is just getting money from arabs to do blockchain stuff and muh contracts blockhain. Ethereum is a perfect pump but the dump will come on the proof of stake changes.
Long term, fundamentally bettter cryptos will win and have lower risk of dying on you.
