Write lists of what I need to get done. Break down tasks into smaller components. List those out.

Example, don't write 'build a webapp'. Write a list of all the functions in Javascript you need to create. Do 1 a day.

And: Either have a vivid mental image of what you want to achieve that's so real you can almost feel it, or a "dream board" of similar visualizations starring you in the face everyday.

Actually the trick isn't even to stay focused on your goals, it's to develop habits so progress towards your goals is almost incidental. That means changing your daily routines, your environment and everything to subconsciously lead you towards goal-oriented behaviors
