Anyone know where De Beers or a similar corporation stockpiles their hoards of diamonds?
No intentions, just a curiosity.

in a safe place far away from where people like you can get their hands on them

I could see your concern if you thought i was reading,
>in a safe place far away from where people like you can get their hands on them
but seeing,
>people like you can get their hands on them
but that's just not the case.
regardless, more specificity would be appreciated!

#2 to DeBeers probably isn't worth mentioning.
DeBeers owns 80% of the diamond producing mines on the planet.
Perfect diamonds that are indistinguishable from natural diamonds can be created in factories now.
Diamonds are a 100% irrational meme.

>chinese made rolexs exist so swiss watches are a meme now

>Chinese make rolexs better than in Switzerland

mines yes, but i believe their share of the global stockpile of mined and reasonably processed product is no longer a majority, although still likely the largest.

irrational on the premises you assume, yes. though intriguing if you consider the matter's theme of corporate secret keeping, especially when you consider the scale. surely these good do not occupy a small footprint, and surely many personnel are involved in operations regarding their safe guarding. also intriguing to think of the matter of man-made diamonds posing no true threat to the perpetuity of De Beers. this is a monstrosity of a company which demonstrated lightening reflexes to essentially completely evade the effects of a scientific discovery which would be cataclysmic for any mortal business entity. all for vanity? have to wonder how it really works. the physical location of the hoard might tell you more than it seems.
tl;dr: why cant we see a big pile of shiny? where did de beers get its immortality?

trouble with a rolex made in china is where it's made. china is eras behind the swiss image of prestige in the eyes of buyers.

Diamonds aren't actually worth much. DeBeers is a monopoly and inflates the prices / artificially limits the supply.
