While the S&P500 is up 75% over the last five years, SPXL has quintupled. So what's to stop me from investing in a leveraged Bull ETF? Economic stagnation? Civilization collapse?
I am doing that after a crash happens. I have no idea when it will happen, but it will at some point. Then I will go alll in on levereged index funds around the world.
yes and yes
Unless you're one of those doomsday bunker people who INSIST that a market "correction" is coming soon. I personally don't know if there will be but you should consider their opinion.

we'll know when the FOMC releases it's statement.
serious interest rate hike will mark the beginning of the end

By beginning of the end, do you mean the next market correction, or the end of civilization? Japan's stock market peaked 25 years ago and never recovered, so it isn't unthinkable that the US stock market might peak soon. Then again, Japan was in a huge bubble and they have a declining population now, whereas the US is still growing (albeit mostly because of immigration).

you are an idiot
how do you think "leverage" is achieved? you think you could have your money sit in a "leveraged" etf for 5 years?
never heard of time decay?
go for it you fucking idiot, put your money in a leveraged etf long term
