i have a bunch of gold coins. would not recommend physical stuff. im way too lazy to go to some gold store to sell them also people want to rip you off left and right its part of the goldbug culture.

not really first they'll try to give you half the value...once they realize you can look up the spot price on your phone they'll offer 75% maybe...they'll never offer more than 100-150 dollars below spot.
