Anybody know of a good data feed that's free of charge? The few I've tried really only give end of day prices which is too infrequent.
Anybody know of data feeds I can use with trading software that will give results within less than an hour that are free of charge?

if ur gonna invest money in the stock market, might as well invest money in some software retard

I pay a little more for each trade because the broker had software that I love. The extra $2 doesn't compare if it makes me another 5% a year.
Any broker worth their salt is going to have free or low-cost data services.

i'm fucking broke and I'm really just testing out strategies, right now I just invest in a bunch of big low-risk stocks.

stop.
i tried that in 2011 out of highschool before wall street wolf came out and made it all chic, i lost a bunch of money buying penny stocks and trading penny stocks
meanwhile if I'd have bought and held any index, or the inverse VIX etfs like XIV, i'd be rolling in cash compared to losing 90% of it
in other words, go buy apple

i'm not buying penny stocks you fucking idiot, i'm just testing out high-risk high-reward trading strategies before I actually implement them with real money.
>>1853076
buy apple
>>1853079
yeah sorry that i'm actually trying to take risks like every successful person did. But if you want to just comfortably lay back with expensive low-risk stocks, go ahead.

buy apple.

penny stocks are a scam. there are "rooms" and if your not a front runner in these rooms when "news" hits, your a bag holder
OP
I use apexfutures for my data, i have a td ameritrade account as well and use sierra chart for placing my trades.
i spend roughly 40 bucks a month for my data and the sierra chart platform which also has some data feeds.
siera chart allows you to create a demo account to test stratgegies, thinkorswim has this ability to roll to any previous date and you can practice your strategy on a passed day to see if its successful or not.
i also use the free version of market delta, the downside is it can't download data, so you have to leave your pc running to load order flow data. there are also alot of footprint type studies you can use.
as far as just buy ideas. I HAVE NEVER LOST MONEY since 2000 buying apple when it falls below 100 bucks. ANY TIME APPLES BELOW 100. BUY IT. down side is its expensive if you don't have alot of money to start with.
if your serious, look into futures trading, NO DAYTRADE RULE, way better margin, expensive brokers charge like 3 bucks round trip so the commissions are fucking dirt cheap and most futures markets are open 24/7 so you can fit it into your schedule.
good luck anon. avoid penny stocks, its a scam. check out investors hub, theres alot of communities where you can get great info and learn.
