make it 10 cents/click and you're at $17

that's for pay per click. if you have some other monetization model it could be less or more (add or remove a zero)

The difference is in your revenue.

Good niche vs bad niche: How much money are you making per Click / CPM?
Good traffic vs bad traffic: What percentage of people will click the links?

Bottom line:
- Bad niche: <$0.50
- Average CPM is around $1-2
- Great niches (insurance, lawyers, etc.): $10+
- Great niches and great traffic: $20++
