Once you fill out your SAM registration the government can contact you with smaller jobs.

$25k is tiny though. If your business can't handle a $25k order you should probably rethink.

what you need to do is complete your SAM registration, then go visit local government facilities and ask to talk to their purchasing agent. You'll probably be given a phone number or an email, but in some cases the person might be there on site.

introduce yourself, tell them what you sell, ask to be placed on their vendor's list for future solicitations. Hand them a business card. That's it. When jobs come up they'll probably call to confirm you're still in business and then mail you the solicitation. They like having lots of competing vendors, so they'll be happy to hear from you.

this is a critical step. You can't sell to the government without doing this.
don't show up trying to sell anything without a DUNS number and a SAM listing.
