Total newfag on everything finance. The idea was mentioned to me by a friend and he asked I do some research into it and if I found anything he'd be willing to dump some cash in. How do I go about pursuing this kind of information.

I had $300 that I dont care if I lose, so I opened an individual brokerage account as my "Speculative" account and built a portfolio of 5 or 6 pharma/marijuana penny stocks. If they all go to zero, oh well. Im hoping they will pop one day down the road.
Just google search, there are a lot of websites that research these marijuana companies and give reports
