I have the opportunity to buy into a mining project that digs up vital minerals involved in making fertilizer, and some salt as a side project if there is room in the storehouses, before they have even started building. All permissions have been granted, and there is clearly some big money involved, including politicians, and over-sea interests.
It's success I imagine will depend on what the farming and food market is projecting in coming years. It's a long term hold, no matter what.

I guess food farming will be mostly drive by the emerging middle class in China in our life times. This particularly means demand for pork, which is fed by grain crops, which need fertilizer.

Here's hoping. I mean, on one hand the world population is always on the rise, but on the other, there always seems to be plenty thrown away in the west. It's hard to gauge how much we need more fertilizer. I suppose biofuel factors in too.
