>margin call
>not a single margin call happens in the film
Other people's money was pretty enjoyable OP.

Big Short was great and really managed to catch the Wall Street spirit
>>1841072
Essential biz-core classic.
Though if you're just going for 80s/90s biz aesthetics, Pretty Woman is a great feel-good film for that. Kiss your man card goodbye.

I saw it, Ray Krok was an ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>>1841244
Meh its highly implied that the failure they are panicking over would be a series of progressive margin calls. There's a line that's like "once we're past this point, it's absolutely inevitable". What that means is once they get liquidated on a certain position there is more sell pressure and combined with the margin calls of their peer firms it's a positive feedback loop that will bankrupt the entire firm

Big Short is kino you pleb
I liked Waffle Street. A very biz movie, though not set in the 80s
>>1841233
I don't regret watching it, but I regret paying for it.
I was always a big fan of Casino, but that might be a little earlier.

Absolutely loved it. The guy is a genius and how he started with nothing and built an empire is just inspirational. Sure he did some shitty things but he made up for it by paying them well.
Top Secret: wai roon pan lan
