I will not state my brief business. What I would like you to do is tell why it wouldn't work etc.
>find a random guy who knows shit about cars
>find a car for sale
>go with the guy to see the car so he can take a look at it and decide if the price could be negotiated
>buy the car, pay the guy for consultation
>next day put up the car for sale for more than you bought it
>in other cases get a car with broken parts
>the dude changes them
>pay the guy for work
>resell
Low margins, too much work, too much chance for consultation costing too much. But yeah people do this all the time. Usually they don't get a knowledgeable "random guy" to do it, they just do it themselves.

it is too much work. You might as well just open up a used car dealership
My family has been in the car repair business for 40 years. We sell cars, my cousin owns his own car dealership that I helped manage for about 4 months.
It is a hell of a lot of work and people are very weary when it comes to purchasing cars, lots of time wasters.
I have done it for a while but repaired the cars myself.
Quick fiberglass patches on rust holes to cover up and make sure it runs straight and the check engine takes a while before coming back. You will not make any money in this if you are honest.

this. If you want to do it honestly, you need your own property where you can park broken down cars, a garage, good quality tools, & you have to know how to fix cars.
Getting customers to actually pay up is another thing. I have all of the above and still have a hard time getting customers to pay.
