Bitcoin is what it is due to Chinese utility of it once they switch to ethereum which they don't have yet to trade there's little reason to use bitcoin since ether has intrinsic value not just speculatory value like btc.

Daily reminder that none of those companies are actually going to use ethereum. They used your excitement to advertise their companies, when in reality they're using a separate cryptocurrency.

china's huge bitcoin use is mining, ethereum is trying and hoping to get rid of proof of work mining. the chinese also already own large amounts of ethereum. and bitcoin is actually being used for transactions right now, whereas nobody is using ethereum for anything but speculation currently, just like every other alt, with the exception of monero which is a good alternative to using a bitcoin tumbler, but not much else.
