So I have an unnecessarily large number of book lists from /pol/, but I need some /biz/ books too.

Suggestions?

He seems to have covered up the meme-tier books; mainly the self-help books. The Richest Man In Babylon should be covered up too.

If you actually read books which detail economics, finance, financial mathematics, and/or (auto)biographies of people within the finance/economics field, then there's no need for a self-help book. If you use common sense and the knowledge you've gathered from learning economics and finance, then there's no need for 99% of the self-help books out there.

Don't over-complicate small shit. If you have trouble with your personal fianances, then find all of the ways to lower your expenses and maximize your gains. There, I just gave you all of the important information from most of personal finance self-help books in one sentence.

Also, I never understood why /biz/ placed books on the reading list which requires a background of knowledge in statistics. I'm sure plenty of you don't even know enough about calculus to adquately study the statistics used in finance.

There should be some pre-requisites added to some of the book pictures that tell you that you need to know all of the mathematics up to a certain level.

For basic stats, you need to know some calculus.

Before calculus, you need to know trig and Algebras I & II. KhanAcademy can teach you all of these for free online. If you become better at math, then you will also easily understand your personal finances.

The thing about self help books is you can't just read them. You have to apply what you read, you have to do some introspection do find out how to apply it to your life.

Like you said if you have common sense you can figure this out but a self help book just helps you do it quicker in my opinion. Not to mention, $5 for a used book and a couple of hours of reading on the weekend... You're not loosing much?

I want you guys to be perfectly honest

Have you guys ever made money DIRECTLY from reading any of these books? Did one of these books really taught you something concrete?

I dont see the point in reading anything thats not a textbook
>>

>reading books on """manhood"""
What's the matter? Did daddy not teach you what it means to be a man?

I did read one meme-worthy book entitled King, Warrior, Magician, Lover where the authors say that there is no "test" or "initiation" into becoming a man anymore which I agree with. The only thing that comes close is boot camp/basic training.

Anyways, I don't think reading all these or >>1833106 is very useful.

I would just read straight from the horse's mouth so to speak. Want to know about BTC? Read the website, become involved in the community. Want to know about ETH? Read the website, become involved in the community. Want to be involved in banking? Do your best to get involved in the business, get your certs, etc.

To me, when I first started, it just become useless and redundant to keep reading books over and over again on "how to invest" or how to be "financially free" etc.

One I would recommend is Can "It" Happen Again by Mr. Jew Man Hyman Minsky. Written in '82 and should give you good insight into the 2008 crises. So, yes, "It" can happen again (big recessions).

He's a socialist faggot Jew, but his analysis is pretty spot on.

/biz/ lit covers a lot of different things, do you want to know about finance, economics, marketing, face to face sales, supply chains?
What are you're goals -- and what do you want to learn?
>>
>>1833418
Basic economics I guess? I want to know how stuff works and maybe some stuff about investing and business "management" type stuff. Things that can help me understand how things work in the world and maybe help me give advice to people and to know what's probably going to happen in the future
>>
>>1833434
Henry Hazlett.. quick economics summary. Also, Economics for Dummies is actually pretty good.

Yeah you actually are losing much. You are purchasing a book with little value that you can find for free online. The value in such a purchase will never be realized.
