> How is it free?
"People" invest your settled funds when you're not using them, just like banks.

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using stockcharts.com, finviz, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

I would take my loss, hopefully it is not that much because the first 15 minutes of trading tend to be emotional trading but then logic sets in and it usually tends to drop this is why you don't trade as the market opens unless you are selling.
>>
Any memes today boys? Looking for shits and gigs. Thanks!

I really don't want to hold this shit for years, I wanted to sell today

I might just grab another $1k to put in SNAP so I can at least make a little profit

AMD instead of SNAP. I just bit the bullet and sold my shares to buy SNAP. I know it'll tank eventually but I'm just looking to profit off the hype, at least hopefully. It's already .50 above what I bought it for, so I think I made the right decision

I already recouped my losses from AMD by day trading SNAP, so really the only question is whether I just withdraw all my funds because I'm bad at this shit

I used to only play UWTI and DWTI till they got delisted, now that they've been replaced I may just mess with those again. Made back a lot of losses from doing that.

I would sell as soon as I make my profits m8 this market is highly speculative, keep in mind Yellen has not officially said it was March 15 but the market is speculating that they are raising it.

JDST will easily nosedive if Yellen pussyfoots around ratehikes but if she does raise them over two quarters you could expect the market to tank really hard and flirt with a market correction.

Could someone explain to me what penny stocks are and if it's worth starting to trade?
>>
>>1832501

A penny stock is a stock that goes for less than $5. They're highly speculative and you can make (or lose) a fuck load off of the slightest changes. It's most of what idiots here trade in almost exclusively.

Don't get into them unless you're confident, or don't mind losing a lot.
>>
URRE what the fuck
>>
>>1832501
Penny stocks tend to be bad investments. Most of the stocks you'll find here are trending down longterm, which means they'll probably go broke eventually.

They're cheap as shit though, so you could maybe make money on volatility, if you have a good stomach.
>>
Fuckin jdst :/

I'm no longer investing in meme stocks after these volatile past few days.

What are some medium to low volatility stocks that are good short term (not day) holds? I'm talking about good, consistent growth that consistently out performs that market over for just a year or two--stocks like AMD, NVDA, and TSLA but whose time hasn't expired. I'm sorry but I think AMD is toast from here. Too many people are shaming Ryzen and as a result the next earning call is going to be poor

>buy a bunch of JNUG yesterday because everyone here was talking about it
>get completely fucked today

I didn't lose lots of money because I didn't put much money in, but how do I avoid this situation in the future?
>>
>>1832694
you don't use fiboncini lines to try to estimate where it bottoms. finding the bottom is tough, but you can sort of estimate where it is based on the range between prior highs and lows. if you look at the rebound pic i posted. you'll notice the range between the first low and first high on the first bounce is roughly wheree it will stop dropping if you add it to the first sell off range. this works because same people = same money = same price change

fibocini lines helps you determine where the bounce or a crash will end based on the range of its entire top and bottom

Simple, don't take advice off the internet. This is a thread of day traders trying to make a quick buck, and very few do it seems.
Take NAK for example, people memed it up to $3.50 a share thinking it would "go to the moon". It got shorted, there was a lawsuit and the company willingly sold shares at $1.50 establishing a base price. People have been crying ever since last week about it. That's not to say it won't come back, but holy hell is it a good example of why you shouldn't buy into the hype.
>>1832708
that jnug is highly volatile, gold is overvalued and that you should research before buying something. To my understanding, on RH people day trade the shit out of JNUG and never hold it overnight.
>>
>>1832705
and that's all good, I just dont see where the real buying volume is supposed to come from to help get this back over $2

I mean it clearly reversed just over $1 on substantial volume, but what proof is there that fibonacci % can suggests it will continue with this reversal monday, instead of settling down to a lower low?

i will try to look again at previous pics if I'm just not seeing what you're describing with previous low/hi

All research helps and will put you a step over the other guy. I'm currently reading an older book called "How to Buy Stocks" by Louis Engel, written in 1985. It's how the stock market works and has a continuous narrative of a made up company going through different scenarios in the trading world. After I finish that up I'll be reading a book called "The Intelligent Investor" by Benjamin Graham. I've seen a couple anons say positive things about it.
>Is there a "recommended" market sector for newbies to trade in?
I've put most of my investments in to ETFs since they encompass multiple companies in the same market sector. SPDR and Vanguard are good ones with low Gross and Net expense ratio. Look for ones with no bigger than 1.25% ratios, otherwise you're losing money.
From Kevin Leary who had some solid advice, only buy into stocks that don't pay a dividend. Anything that isn't making you money is pure speculation.
>gold
I used to have GLD from the SPDR index, but I quickly came to the belief with precious metals that if it is not specifically in my hand, I don't own it. Gold and Silver stocks are highly manipulated too.
SLV, the SPDR silver index has it written in its clause that over time it sells off it's own personal stock of silver to pay for the upkeep. That means over time the $20 share you initially purchased loses all of it's buying power.
Mike Maloney is my best resource for the Gold&Silver market, but he's a peddler himself trying to sell you a product. Excellent resource on the understanding of how precious metals are a hedge in a declining market.
I'll make this a 1/2 so I can go in to gold and silver a bit more.

>4. Dont go balls deep into any one thing

(2/2)
Gold is at it's peak right now and silver is way undervalued. Remember this, the cost of gold to silver should be a 10:1 ratio. That's how it's been used for the last couple millennia. Right now, the ratio is 68:1. The Dow Jones Index should also be 10:1 compared to gold. It's a little conflated at 16:1 currently.
Gold is a hedge. When the stock market goes up, the price of gold goes down, and vice versa.
The fact that gold and silver were in limbo for this past week or so says that the population didn't really trust that the stock market was doing well. The decrease in price of gold and silver the last couple days indicates the stabilization of the market.
This has been pretty quick, call it a quick rundown if you would. This is the bulk of the knowledge I have of operating in the market currently. I'm about 70/30 in stocks/precious metals because I believe in the insurance the silver I've been buying will provide.
On a note that I forgot above:
P/E ratios
A healthy company will have a P/E ratio floating around 16. Anything lower is undervalued, anything higher is overvalued.
SNAP Inc. is currently at a P/E ratio of about 86.
A disclaimer, I am young and naive with the stock market, but I am trying to learn as much as I can. Be as skeptical with me as I told you to be skeptical of these threads.

The Gross Expense Ratio is the percentage taken out at the end of Q4 to pay for the fund.
The Net Expense Ratio is the percentage taken out to pay for the people who have been upkeeping the Index fund.
Keep it as low as possible to save your money.

Always reinvest dividends, my father has had stock from a company for 15 years and reinvests and made an extra $1500 from it.

Thanks for the help, I'll look into those books and Mike Maloney.
>>
Realistically, what's the highest SNAP will trade at? When will it reach that height?
>>
>>1832089
To paraphrase a friend of mine in the City, Snapchat is undervalued at 7% of a Facebook and overvalued at 2.5 Twitters.
Problem is that was the same thing.

A company that paid $900m to make $400m last year. Couldn't tell you. The only reason companies are investing in it is the same reason facebook makes money. Data mining and selling.
>>1832801
You're welcome, check out Mike's online series Hidden Secrets of Money. Very informative.
>>
I bet SNAP will crash to $15 or so in the coming months.

I hope so. Looking for a crash and reversal signs to ride this baby out after the initial hysteria has worn off
>>
>>1832765
with $180 I think its fine to put it all in 1 company...I basically tell people you only need just about that much to start. preferably $500 so you could go half and half w 2 companies

understand that it is extremely unlikely for anyone to make much more than 5 or 10 % guaranteed in a single day unless very experienced

the best chance you have to double that money overnight is gona be biotech memes imo

look at OCRX, TKAI, OGXI, RXII to name a few

I currently have a few $$ in each one, knowing full well they could all go to zero but if any has great news, could also double or even triple literally overnight

where else in the stock market other than cannabis is that sort of return possible?

while on the subject, the people who make real money on cannabis...buy in well before they go up ridiculous amounts. thats called smart money

one last piece of advice is to ignore articles generally. AMRS had an article the day of (or before, cant remember) earnings that specifically stated smart money was buying in at those levels...and look what happened
>>
ignore 'opinionated' articles I should say...REAL articles are catalysts for big moves and one would do well to anticipate them in advance, placing a bet accordingly beforehand
>>
>>1832198
More so than any of you do.
>>
>>1832818
Alright, thanks

>look at OCRX, TKAI, OGXI, RXII to name a few
What techniques did you use to select these stocks?
They all seem to be at their 1-year lows right now. Is that a good indicator?

>>1832825
How would I tell the difference between an opinionated article and an objective one?
>>
made 10% of my whole portfolio today. Thank you based BSTG/BLPH
>>
SPY yes or no, just traded snap for $70 profit but I don't want to be high risk as I'm just 19 between jobs right now and want to minimize losses, I'm good with small returns
>>
Any thoughts on using Americanbulls.com to help me trade with Robinhood?

those picks are commonly referred to as "biocrap" and there are many, many of them. I look at as many as I can and study each one before getting in w real money. I select them based on perceived hidden value, such as an asset which is currently valued negatively by the market (ex: ocrx drug has failed a trial, however the market fails to appreciate that theres at least 1 other ongoing trial for it.)

a real life example that I have done quite well with is SPHS, if you check its recent history you will notice it was trading in the 40 cent range after a 'real' article suggested inferiority of their drug, and how it was likely to fail an upcoming trial. I interpreted this as meaning "well now the market says their drug is total shit, and the market cap suggests that as well since the company is trading below cash"

what happened next was, the trial succeeded despite the bashing news article (I now wonder where the fuck it even came from, wish I saved it) and the stock mooned

VOO
Vanguard 500 Index Fund ETF Class
Cheaper. lower dividend but less yearly expenses.
>>
Im betting ocrx is the next sphs, have a small position and looking to add, as it is very tough to time the exact bottom (sphs bottom was around 45 and I actually owned shares at that price once)

tkai is one of those "reverse merger/news" pos that probably doesnt have any real assets of its own, and likes to take a long slow dip into oblivion but then one day says "hey all you fucks time to moon" bitch slapping as many as possible before continuing its long slow dip into oblivion

ogxi I am unsure of and think it will dip further but could have potential hidden value...not as sure bout this one

rxii had a recent offering, i like that as its trading below that dilution price of 90 cents and is looking primed for a nice article memeing it to orbit

ok I need to go do something else now have a good wkend all

Anyone still holding AMD?

I sold all my holdings today. I originally thought I would see growth throughout the summer but after thinking for a couple days I think 15 was the highest we'll see for quite some time, it will be below 8 within a few months.
>>
Going all in on SPXS on Monday. Thoughts?
>>
>>1832893
looking for a trump surge to happen?
>>
>>1832893
Are you trying to time the next recession? You could be waiting a while, during which time it'll continue to shrink.

SPXS lost half its value over the last year, and 90% of its value over the last five years. We're probably closer to the next recession than the last recession, but it's still a hell of a bet.
>>
Urre just posted a monster earnings report where they overshot their EPS and paid off their debt, they are now debt free

Buy in? I got fucked last time I saw a good earnings report
>>
>>1832914

Not a recession, hoping to profit from the market correction since everything is so ridiculously overvalued right now
>>
+1 to averaging down esp in very short term. I'm going through all my trades, and averaged on jnug after a 30+ cent drop, and literally only added to my losses. I didn't have rationality there. Also catching falling knives led to me simply killing my daytrades which is worse imo than losing %. Just wait out the squigglies, and Do Not panic, god of I didn't sell jdst during the beginning of its rocket

Also no "fun trades" you will simply lose and it will affect you

I've been holding since January
Although I wish I had taken advantage of the recent volatility in the past month I'm in this for the long run.

I can't decide if NVDA and AMD crashing led to speculators pulling out and putting everything in SNAP during lunch, or if it was the other way around.
Fantastic synergy in any case.
>>
How long to hold on to SNAP?
>>
>>1832958
I bailed when they hit $11, thinking it was a bubble waiting to burst. I still made a good haul, just jelly about all the others who stayed for the whole moon mission.
