as someone who was born into this world inside a lower middle class family riddled with various problems, I have experienced "bad luck" all my life. Everyone who actually knows me acknowledges "Anon, you have the worst luck out of anyone I've ever met". As a form of spirituality I guess you could say, I Have developed a belief that there is a form of "Cosmic karma" all around us. For all good there must be equal bad, but it doesn't necessarily have to be balanced individually. I have tons of bad luck, in turn someone out there is sleeping with super models and won the lotto after spending 100 bucks on stock that rose 10,000% immediately after.

with that said, over the years I've noticed despite bad luck, "success" is still achievable, and it is severely influenced by the amount of your drive, and willpower.

while my bad luck slows me down, I've learned as long as I don't let it stop me the success I'm after always inches closer to my grasp until I achieve it. This has held true in every single thing i've ever done and accomplished.

The key is to not let shit stop you. Sadly everyone has a breaking point in any situation, and some hit that point much sooner and easier than others.

I believe stories like arnolds life is an example of what happens when someone blessed with "good luck" also has the willpower to match

Have a goal that you really want to achieve, not some superficial shit.

For example a lot of people want to be rich and then pick whatever random meme field they can think of first, when they don't have interest in that field and are only in it for financial reasons.

So basically, find what you enjoy doing. Then become the best at it. It shouldn't be hard to develop discipline to get good at something you like doing.

For some of us, being successful is out of the question because there are people who are more naturally motivated in whatever field we choose.

Arnold became successful in bodybuilding because that became the focus of his life. The money, rewards, and praise came after.

2) Luck is hard to quantify, if you're born into a middle class house in a OECD country and get a good education are you lucky? Probably luckier than a Cogonese child soldier. If you don't have Muscular Dystrophy you're lucky right?
I don't worry about "luck", I can't control it, and I don't know if I'm lucky or not.

3) Actually you *can* control luck. If I leave a book outside and I say "nah i'll get it later" and it rains and makes it all ripply and waterdamaged, was that bad luck or just a result of me making a bad decision? Well if you think about the thousands of decisions you make over the course of your life that bring you closer and further away from your "goals" you are either increasing your chances of achieving success or tempting bad luck and moving further away from it.

4) Once Arnie was Mr. Universe, he had it made... he had fame. that's all you need to be successful. Look at those fucktard Kardashians, their name is basically a license to print money. Become famous and the roadblocks to success become a lot easier to pass.

Anyway you need to find your "prototype" you need to find an actor who resembles your screen presence. I mean Jim Carrey's is Jerry Lewis. Billy Zane... Vin Diesel... every generation wants it's own Yul Brynner. I'm pretty sure the best thing to ever happen to Kevin James' career was when Chris Farley died.

Now these are really over the top examples, and as an actor you're probably thinking how much you'd hate to be shoehorned and type-cast, let alone poured into a mould that isn't your own... but then remember what John Cazale said about doing the same role in theater for decades: it's like being a great Opera singer, you refine it, and the role changes as you get older, the context of it changes as you look older, your voice changes and you bring the breadth of your life experience into it.

Also, you have to accept that it's the pact-with-thedevil you need to do if you want to make it. So find your prototype. Start building your brand. Get the names of all the casting directors in your area, or move to a area with more productions and research the shit out of the agencies and casting directors, and network network network.

Oh, and start a social media profile that meshes with your onscreen persona!
