Hi, any canadians stock trader can help me? I might go into stock trading soon and I'm not sure with what bank to trade. Mine (cibc) charges 6.95 per operation. Is it the best I can get in Canada?

you're best off trading with your regular bank, the $3 difference in commissions shouldn't outweigh the ease of transferring money back and forth

$6.95 is p good

If you are trading ETFs questrade is probably the best because you can buy certain ETFs for free.

The cheapest is Interactive Brokers but you need $10k to open an account and there are inactivity fees if your account is less than 100k.
