ITT we discuss ecommerce and the ways you're making money online. Acceptable discussions are about advertising, Facebook targeting, products, fulfillment, store software (Shopify, woocommerce etc)
What are you doing /biz/?
Personally I own 3 ecommerce stores doing $2.5 million per year in total revenue, after all ad costs netting around 20%. All based on Shopify currently, testing Magento for my largest.
are you selling products you made yourself, or reselling stuff? I'm not really familiar with how shopify works.

Reselling stuff. Alibaba

Primarily drop shipped. Other people ship it I just send the order to them
I buy my most popular 3 products in bulk and send to a fulfillment center I like working with, the rest is drop shipped. The bulk purchase lets me get way bigger margins
what do you sell?

I'm not gonna say most so people don't steal that shit but will tell one. Knock off fidget cubes.

What's your marketing channel? (or do you have multiple ways to advertise)
I think the biggest obstacle for most beginners is getting traffic that converts.

Facebook. Easily. It's the biggest traffic source and you can target so easily.
