Business illiterate here, high school student lookin for some cash. I've been looking on /biz/ every once in a while and I see some people talking about BTC and hur dur cash cow. People say it's a bubble that's gonna pop, people say it'll go down once it hits 10k, and people say scared newfags selling are gonna cause it to dip early.

I've been doing hard research, I set up a wallet on Blockchain.info and I've found some sellers.
Is it worth it for me to buy, say, 0.3 BTC from a cash-for-BTC guy I found on localbitcoins.com, and sell when it's higher?

Buy from Coinbase and transfer to a Trezor wallet. Easiest way and decently safe unless you are a paranoid schizophrenic.

Depends how expendable that money is for you. Who really knows what direction it's gonna end up and personally I'd treat it as a long term investment rather than get rich quick.

You old enough to get a McJob yet?

Bitcoin is at an all time high now. You shouldn't buy now as history shows us it WILL go down again.

You don't make money buying high and selling low.

1. Make sure you can take the loss.
2. Acknowledge risk.
3. Don't dig yourself deeper into the "I'm right" camp. Always be skeptical.

$1k still seems pretty low compared to some of these predictions... 10k, 25k? Just buying 0.3 BTC could land me $5,000 CAD if they're reading right.

Too new to realise this board was created as a containment for dogecoin and pandacoin generals on /g/?

Once governments remove physical cash you will regret selling a single satoshi.
