So I have been living with my friend for some years now in a non-common law marriage state.
Should we consider marriage ? I mean is there any real financial/legal/whatever benefits to it ?
We are just friends so it would be just business and we plan to continue living togheter.

Friends with Benefits is for Degenerates. You will be eliminated and most certainly wont receive the benefits of marriage. I will report you to the fbi.

Not sure if this is bait, but it is a stupid idea. You would likely get a modest tax break but you'll probably end up paying a lot more than that in legal fees when you inevitably get divorced, even if it is an amicable divorce.

If it's a non common law country don't you have the option for a non-married but together tax status?

Literally just compare the single and married tax brackets.Youll go from 15% to probably 10% based on your income. Its not worth the headache.
