The only way buying a car like this makes sense in Australia anyway is if its under $20,000 with ABN full tax write off, or you lease it under ABN and weekly lease fee is a write off as well since its for business purposes. Getting you a brand new car and costing you nothing.

Also since this thread serves no real purpose, I'll just share a personal anecdote. I actually crashed this car once already, before this photo was taken.

Some dumb bitch decided to be blind momentarily as she approached an intersection and drove straight through a red light. So I saw her coming out, thought maybe she was turning right (I was in the left lane), then she kept going straight, and I hit the brakes, but not soon enough to not hit her. Anyway it was minor damage to my car, no injuries on either side, she had some nu-male in the car with her. A couple guys on the corner (I was downtown) saw the whole thing and told me they'd stay to make sure I didn't get fucked over for this bitch's dumb driving. All told I needed new headlights, new front of the car, and new radiator, $20,000 of damage. She claimed fault, but I still lost $500 because my insurance only covered 30 days or $900 for a rental car, so that went over by two weeks.

Anyway moral of the story is: women drivers.

Mercedes' have one of the fastest devaluation in the market because their electronics and computers/sensors are unreliable and they start to have value within a decade.

That's why I see tons of $5000 excellent condition Mercedes for sale because the owners don't want to spend $10K+ on fixing computers that will break again anyways.

I have a friend who is quite wealthy and conservative with his money, not billionaire, but he's worth upwards of 100M. He just bought a new E-class to replace his old one, and he told me he didn't really do to much research in it. He just sold his old car, went into the Mercedes dealership, and bought it. He doesn't buy them to show out, but because they're comfortable, and for him, it isn't a lot of money for him to spend over it. For him, shit like a new mercedes isn't a stupid liability for him, but a private jet and yacht are, so he doesn't own either.

Like I said, you wouldn't understand these things because you can't grasp how much money that really is.
