I haven't looked into things like this before but correct me if I'm wrong in understanding this.

A group of people hoard a certain amount of some dead shitcoin and then announce that they're gradually "pumping" when they're probably the only ones providing any liquidity with their pre-bought coins which seems to be like a ponzi scheme in some sense. Sure you could have a chance to make small money if you get lucky with your timings compared to the other sheep but it is still a negative expected value investment.
