What are other things you can do at work online to provide extra sources of income?

inb4 meme trading, business ideas

I was thinking about maintaining a website, but it is very very manually (and boring) if you want to create quality content.

You could be a nonconformist edgy artist, works for Shadman.

Have an eBay shop that you monitor during work hours. Bonus points if you can use your company's stationery or postal system for personal means.

I work as a web developer, but I'm a good idea guy. I improve on successful websites and launch them. I also do high-rate freelance and am finishing up a book on Internet startups.

Just launching a blog or whatever won't take you far. Making money online is about diversifying your streams of income, dumping what doesn't work, maintaining what works.

Why does it have to be online?

Just get a rental property for extra income

around 2 years ago I had a part time job working at a warehouse. Their primary model was they supplied ships that dock at the ports with whatever they need/want for leisure items. the largest product category was alcohol and sodas, and due to the nature of the operation cans bust literally on a daily basis

a guy that had been working there for 12 years or so gathered them in a trash bucket he has moved out of the way and during downtime he would sit there emptying remaining liquid out, crush them, and stick in trashbag.

Boss was fine with letting him do it
He'd collect 5-10 bags then go turn it in @ recyling for 20ish bucks
