Is whiskey / whisky a good investment?
get a liquor license, save some money and open a liquor store in a nice part of town instead
if you drink it youll get a return on it

If you know what you're doing and you have the money to play in the big-leagues - it probably is. The Chinese elite has been going crazy the last few years. It's not there yet, but hard liquor is catching up to wines fast. I don't think it's a viable investment for Average Joe - way too high cost of storage, barrier of entry, spreads on auction houses, etc.
But if you happen to be a millionaire who already has everything else and you happen to be a whiskey buff - sure go for it. Seems like a promising field to be sitting on a cellar of selected and rare vintage whiskeys in a few decades.

Blanton's, it's overrated as fuck but worth a try.
If you want a good bourbon get OWA107 or Elijah Craig Barrel Proof
Economy Shy rockets - People drink
Economy Plummets - People drink
Op here.
I work at a whisky bar and have access to rarer scotch and bourbon at cost. I'm knowledgeable about tge product but debating if i should invest. I have had some great opportunities i have missed in the past.. Glendronach 19 Madera, michters 20yo bourbon, sprinkbank 66 ect. Its a substantial cost up front but could be good. Any other anons holding? Also, i dont drink.

I think given your advantageous situation you'd be a fool not to speculate occasionally.
