As an engineer you can get into finance and investments based on your quants skills but not vice versa

Accounting.

For finance you will need other skills esp software to land a decent job in a city (c/python/sql/ect..) unless you have connections.

Accounting w a few internships is easier and you can simply read a cfa lvl1 to get all the finance bachelors stuff down.

Note: finance grad going back to get MS this year, hopefully. Currently learning vba.

Depends by the time you hit senior year if you have shit lined up or not.

If you have job offers and you think the pay is good, go for it. If you don't have job offers, try to apply for positions before graduating and explain to them that you're seeking employment almost right after graduation. If you haven't started any real life experience yet by the time your hit your senior year, you mind as well get the master's and get some internship.

Like life, it is unpredictable. Just do your best and have an open mind.
