they are prone to corruption
alaska, calpers, and tons of pension funds

The USA doesn't have a sovereign wealth fund because its stock market and bonds are already highly desired investments. The USA can't just buy their own assets so they spread the Dollar around for people to invest in USA.

as the world reserve currency they don't need a sovereign reserve so much as they can print them selves whatever money they want any time, in fact that is exactly what they have been doing
