I put in $3k and have lost about $50 through mostly betting on penny stocks from /rgt/. Tbh I'm surprised I haven't done worse.

What else you gunna do? of course stocks are worth it. It'll teach you more about business if you actually research the companies and look into them. It is always a foundation to future investements.

not very good unless you have alot of money in it.

If you wanted to be more conservative you could get dividend stocks.

If you have shitloads in, you can afford to wait until positions become profitable, collecting dividends (on some) in the meantime.
I've got about 25 different positions currently, and (assuming I don't open anything new) I might only sell or cover once or twice a week.
