Are those wallstreet finance jobs really all people make them out to be? Like is that bateman/gordon gecko type of life really achievable
I have a friend that works as an IB and currently and makes good money but spends it all on adderall coke and prostitutes.

I work for a credit union as an in-house fund manager and mostly pick hedges against agricultural commodities since the majority of our clients are farmers or work in agribusiness and agribusiness is doing shitty lately. I get paid about 55k including the bonuses and the such but only work 20-30 hours a week.

I worked IB. It may be possible in NYC. That's probably the only place tho. I worked at two banks. I mean, we interviewed one of our VPs in a strip club, and yeah people did addy and drank a lot. Mostly desk jockies tho. Depends on the culture and location of the bank. I heard overseas locations like Russia can be crazy too. Bottom line is probably not. Money is just not as good as it used to be.
