You realize that you can still get a medical recommendation for cannabis, which allows you to grow for personal use and sale, right? We have had this for like 20 years now.
Amount is determined by county, biggest I know is Eureka (Humboldt) where you can grow 99 plants per person/rec. Also anyone with a rec can start/join a collective where in each member of the collective increases the amount the collective can grow. So say you have one grower for 20 people, that would be 99 plants per person that grower can do.
