You know nothing, Jon Snow.
Whats the deal with living in the UK? Are you confined to your birth place? Are you not willing to move? You should want to move where the money is, you should be eager too.
However, if you truly cannot move further than Her Majestys Great Britain, then I'd advise accounting over CS, simply because nowhere in the UK compares to NY or Silicon Valley for technology companies and technology startups.
My $0.02, take it or leave it.

You have to factor in cost of living.
Making $140k in San Fran is about the same as making $77k in Dallas which also has a rising tech industry with a family friend making $120k as a senior developer. Housing is 76% cheaper as well.

Accounting. Comp sci is being oversaturated by pajeets

You say this like Accounting isn't also being oversaturated with pajeets.
I'll admit though you'll probably have more job security as an Accounting major unless you live in/near a tech hub.
Get a cpa and you'll have better job security. Or whatever brits call it.
Computer science because you can practically have any job you want with that degree, accounting on the other hand has its limits.

computing obviously.
New AI software will make accountants obsolete in 5 years. Just like self driving cars will put all taxi, bus and truck drivers on the dole.
