Honestly, make a meme from your app like those tinder memes and twitter memes and the app will at the very least experience a huge spike in usage.

Target marketing to your intended user, I mean obviously your social network has a function, a problem it solves unless you've just foolhardy and made an app with nothing distinct about it: zero in on what it does, and then find the people who need it.
