>getting Christmas emails from employers who rejected me
> Rejection emails for job applications
Probably my most hated practice in corporate America

>whois their domain
>look up where they're hosted (probably not in-house)
>report them for spam
>get their entire web infrastructure shut down over the holidays
>merry xmas motherfuckers

>they DON'T send you a rejection email
The only thing worse desu

Four years ago when I was looking for a job, I sent out ~120 applications. Didn't hear anything from about 95 of them, got at least SOMETHING from 10 with more questions about my qualifications or resume, got 10 generic "Thanks for applying, currently blah blah blah" form emails.
Four or Five of them came back with actual, legitimate criticism or recommendations, and I always respected those companies. I don't remember the numbers (like 300 applications per role filled, or something?) but I really really appreciated getting personal feedback from those few companies. I don't know if that means I'd respect those companies more if I did business with them, but it left a good taste in my mouth.

I'd rather get the email than not. Uncertainty is to be avoided at all costs.

>using your real email
you know they sell that data to marketers, right?

I regret to inform you OP that this position has been offered to another candidate.
>tfw one of the only major engineering companies in town always sends me the same canned rejection email
