I'm a student with only $2500 in my savings. I have no clue what to invest in, how to even start doing anything with forex, and how i can even afford crypto. I heard you guys are pretty good with this. what should i do with my money?
buy bitcoin.
hold it.
pay your debts & save at least enough cash to afford 6 months of living expenses before you consider putting your money in anything

isn't bitcoin really high right now though?

assume i have living expenses covered, then :p

Yeah, but as a longterm investment it's guarenteed gains. If you want quick bux maybe something else.

>Crypto
Get in, get out. Do not take exchange risk by holding for prolonged periods of time and potentially losing 5% or more of your precious capital. Crypto can be valuable as a means of exchange, but leveraged ETFs offer plenty of profitable daytrades and have a more readily-understood tax liability.
>Stocks/Bonds/Derivatives
I don't recommend trading with a portfolio smaller than $10,000. It's just not interesting/worth the time.
>Precious Metals
Buy a scuffed, 1 oz maple leaf if you want the cheapest gold possible to insure against some catastrophic finance. If you feel fancy (and like selling one gram back at a time to jewelers) buy a combibar. Can't recommend silver except as a door stop. Shit is not precious & it's a drag to clean. Never believe the hype: don't expect hyperinflation/deflation tomorrow, and never buy commemorative/historical coins, but do know that it survives catastrophe better than any other asset.
Just git gud at saving cash. Keep enough to pay a couple months' worth of bills in a checking account and try to stash the rest in cash. The biggest problem young people run into financially is not having enough savings when emergencies happen, thus ensnaring them in poverty traps. Get good at stacking bills.
