What you're doing is technically smart if you can guarantee you can keep up that output straight out of college. A lot of STEM majors can do that, but we don't do what you're doing because poorfag students don't have that kind of earning power in college.
buying a house will tie you down for a long time. If housing prices will not continue to appreciate like in the past, so you will most likely lose money when accounting for time value. If you sell your house before the mortgage is up, you will most likely lose money.
It is much smarter to invest in a vanguard or something. Real estate is a shit investment at the moment. I would wait to invest in the stock market until this current bubble pops.
