Hey NEET here
How easy is it for companies to verify your work history? I might lie and say I worked at my dads carwash for a year but can they look up if im lying to them? My Dad can verify it verbally as he is the owner and controls the manager.
This is just for some shit tier retail job btw

The most they can do is call your references and verify your dates of employment.
yeah but if you get an interview you'll fuck it up, you're not as good at lying as you think you are. it's all about embellishing. but if you worked there for a few weeks you could say you worked there for a year, you're still lying but you would still be drawing off experience when you tell them what you did there, and it's easier to appear truthful when you do that, for a shit tier retail job that will probably be good enough.

Well okay, then i dont know how im not getting hired. Do i really need like an impressive resume to work at some electronics store?
