Hi biz,
I graduate high school this year. My Ivy League apps are all sent in, but regardless of what happens there, I want a great internship.
I got a perfect score on the ACT and am a really high achiever in several fields. Really I have no limits as to what fields I would want to intern in, except no computer science (I haven't learned any programming yet).
Any suggestions as to how to go after a great spot off the top of your head?

High schoolers don't get internships, Anon. How the fuck are you going to get into an Ivy if you ask dumbass questions like this?

1. go on craigslist
2. search internship
3. apply
4. interview
5. ???
6. profit
that's what I did in high school. Started with $25 first summer then $45 doing mindless programming

go around to local banks and ask for an internship.
banks love free help.

Craigslist will get you bopped by scammers and marketing bots

that's true but you gotta discern

Pretty lucky, I wouldn't pay that much for an intern that doesn't know any programming at all like OP. He'd get like that $10 an hour, $25 per hour would be reserved for college juniors/seniors of high skill
no one gives a fuck about how well you did in highschool
I graduated valedictorian at a top tier private school and ranked in the top 1% of the nation wide "end-of-highschool" exam , and I don't even put that shit on my CV
your real challenge will start at whatever Ivy you get in, when you will be in competition with people who WANT to study and are driven, not some idiots who have to finish highschool because they were forced to.
Don't get into university with this mentality that because you did so well in HS, then surely you're going to perform that well at university
you will get fuced and eaten alive, especially at a Ivy or in a competitive program like Finance and premed fields.
