Hi, I am looking for a windows or linux program to analyze macroeconomic models, where to introduce the equations and give them graphs and the final balance. Can do you help me?
Also a good simulator of complex models.

just learn MATLAB, but its kind of pricey to get a license. Most academics use either MATLAB or STATA, although STATA is on its way out. I used MATLAB at school but also lots of R and Python which are super useful especially for econometric and data analysis/modelling

also, there are definitely packages for R that are tailored specifically for IS-LM and other macroecon models

Matlab is broken archaic cancer, don't learn it unless you're forced to by your school / workplace.

yeah I only learned matlab because it was the standard at my school. When I can I prefer using python and R for projects at work, plus some C for heavy lifitng.
Thanks to both of you. I learned a little python in high school. In college I use gretl for econometrics, but it's not what I'm looking for, I want to prove a real job for an economist, but ... maybe I'm looking for R.

why is that? We had to use it for our econometrics class and I prefered it way over SPSS for our statistics class because of the direct command line. Commands were a bit strange though, but it was still a good program in my opinion.
