>>1657667
if you're in the lowest tax bracket you don't pay a capital gains tax on long term investments (1 year). I think that's how it works. That's why I don't like day trading and most of the shit on this board
>>1657675
oh okay, thanks!
>>1657663
You think it will go up again?
>>1657787
Yeah, absolutely. $4 or more my man.
Don't have RH. Turned 250 bucks into 400 last wednesday, today I'm at ~550. Hope to hit 600 before the end of the week, money transferred to my account was 300 total, so that would be neat.
>>1657799

Let's say yes.
Just buy the damn thing, friendo.
Smashing week 2bh.

Best rule for betting on football: never bet on two shitty teams playing. Results are much more volatile. Bet on two good teams or bet on a good team to slaughter a shit team.
>>1664454
Prove to me why I should even put what little money I have in my portfolio towards AMRS
>>1665032
Here's another rule: don't speak about what you don't understand.
I only chose Indianapolis because I felt that they'd have a home field advantage. But I should have known better since Osweiler is a way better fucking QB than Luck. I mean he beat Brady for fucks sake.

You sound like the type to get addicted to gambling.
Predicting tough week ahead
>>1665062
Honestly, what would you know about gambling?
Stocks may be, in a way, like gambling but also completely fucking different.
The way that they're alike is that games can change at a drop of a dime. Just like a stock.
Games can be fixed. Just like stock. If you think there's no manipulation in both, you're naive as shit.
It was a stupid mistake. But I have to say that the thought of taking $10 and almost turning it into $400 was thrilling. And I'll learn from that.
There's more to betting than just reading lines and O/U and spreads.
Gotta know about rosters too because if you don't, you make mistakes like I did.

it is aimed at a forex audience but it is general trading vocabulary in a well structured free course. Do not skip anything. Even if all you ever trade is US equities, how can you possibly call yourself a trader if you don't even know there's such a thing as a "london session"
no market moves in isolation and if you actually give a fuck about trading you should read it.
Index futures trade the same hours as forex and if there is a powerful drop that doesn't recover by US open, guess what happens on US open?
What is your app to invest?

>>1665015
Lol
>>1665018
The dip last year was a bad string of overselling in different instruments in my portfolio that happened at the same time(they all have mostly recovered). My portfolio is 1/3 bond funds, 1/3 individual stocks+emerging markets, 1/3 double leveraged index funds(because I don't have the time to stock pick)
Bonds took a dip last year along with emerging markets(Russia and Brazil), and the S&P500 was nearly flat for 2015, which explains most of the dip in the gains. The savior was the dividend on the bond funds, which comes out as cash and doesn't show up in the gains.
>>1665066

Its funny looking at memestocks on stocktwits and dropping a grand on sum shit pennystock and lmaoing at people who start tweeting onthere, "the big players are here"
Like today chuckled when I am probably throwing that 1k in the trash just to see the retarded comments people make when you buy 5k-15k of a penny stock when every one else is only doing like 300 @ .15 pps
>>1665581

>all those people with <1k$ in stocks
I mean, come on. I don't own stocks myself yet, as I am still trying to become comfortable with everything in a simulation before putting in actual money, but all this memeshit with a few hundred dollars? was the time investment really worth those 20 bucks?
>>1669337
I started with 1200 in early November and I'm up 1700. If i make over 250 trading a day, i basically made what i make at my regular job. Nvcn made me 1100 on December 6th. If I'm making any money whether it's a dollar or 1k while im at work making money anyway I don't give a fuck its worth it.
>>1669358
you get paid to work, not to fucking invest your private capital, you fucking scum.
Also, if you make 20% a month, you're more or less risking 19% a month. If you're not going at a slow and steady rate, and aren't extremely fucking lucky, you will crash sooner or later. I hope you won't go all-out apeshit though and control your losses instead of falling into the traditional gambler "I CAN EARN EVERYTHING BACK IF I PUT A LOAN ON MY HOUSE"
>>1669363
Fortunately for me I have time through out the day to do it. Maybe you should find a job like that.
